Roger Ingram is among the most prolific lead trumpet players and session musicians of our time: with decades of professional experience, hundreds of recordings, concerts, movies scores, and commercials. Known for his dynamic sound, solid upper register, driving sense of swing and versatility, his musical legacy is embodied by his respect and regard for artistic integrity. Roger has toured and recorded with many artists, including Louis Bellson, Quincy Jones, Tom Jones, Woody Herman, Maynard Ferguson, Arturo Sandoval, and Ray Charles. From 1990 to 2010, Roger recorded 19 albums with Harry Connick, Jr. Three were nominated and "Songs I Heard" won a Grammy in 2001. While living in NYC, Roger was involved with over 20 Broadway productions and many live concerts and recordings. Between tours with Harry Connick Jr., he toured with Frank Sinatra and worked simultaneously with Wynton Marsalis and his Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Ingram appears on seven albums with Marsalis, including the 1997 Pulitzer-Prize winning "Blood on the Fields." Roger's 2008 textbook, "Clinical Notes on Trumpet Playing" is on the required/recommended reading list for many music programs world-wide. Roger is an XO Brass/Jupiter Performing Artist and Clinician, and in 2009, designed the XO Brass 1600I professional Bb trumpet. Roger has recorded two albums as a leader: the 2014 "Live at the College Hideaway" and 2015's critically acclaimed "Skylark." Roger's busy schedule includes recording and playing live performances, teaching, presenting masterclasses throughout the world, and as faculty at Chicago's Roosevelt University.
