Roger was a featured performer at the Glasgow International Jazz Festival on 27 and 28 June 2009. You can visit the festival's official website. Roger performed with the Ryan Quigley Big Band at 8pm on 27 June, and the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra 8pm on 28 June at Glasgow's Old Fruitmarket on Candleriggs near the corner of Ingram Street. (Yes, Ingram Street...) He presented a free brass masterclass (sponsored by the city council of Glasgow.) The Glasgow free clinic was open to brass players of all ages, and was held 4:30-6:30pm Friday 26 June at City Halls.

The most recent release that Roger performs on is singer/arranger/trumpeter Rob Zappulla's You Ought To Be Havin' Fun. The CD is available 25 June, 2009, and will initally be available directly through Rob Zappulla's website on MySpace.

Roger performed and presented a masterclass at the TrumpetParty2009 on May 17. The 7th annual Holland TrumpetParty was at Theater in De Muze, Wantveld 2, Noordwijk, Netherlands. The concert also featured Eric Miyashiro and Lee Thornburg, among many other great players.

Roger was in South America in March 2009, performing with Liza Minnelli. Tour performances were in Punta del Este,Uruguay; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Porto Alegre, Brazil; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Brasilla, Brazil; Rio de Janiero, Brazil; and Cordoba, Argentina.
 
In December, Roger completed the Harry Connick, Jr. big band "A Holiday Celebration Tour 2008" promoting the November release of Harry's latest CD, "What a Night! A Christmas Album". The tour was November 18 through December 23. Among the cities visited were Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH, Charleston, WV, Cleveland, OH, New York, NY, Newark, NJ, Atlantic City, NJ, St. Louis, MO, Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA, Durham, NC, and Boston MA.
 
Roger was seen and heard with the Harry Connick, Jr. big band on CBS's "Late Show" with David Letterman, NBC's "The Today Show," the "Rockefeller Plaza Christmas Tree Lighting," ABC's "The View," and CBS's "Rachael Ray."

LA Jazz Institute's Big Band Fiesta
Roger was in Los Angeles for the LA Jazz Institute's Big Band Fiesta, October 8-12, 2008.
 
He performed with " Viva Kenton" (Latin Kenton Orchestra led by Kim Richmond), "Shorty Rogers Afro-Cuban Influence" (under the direction of Bobby Shew), the Dizzy Gillespie All-Stars (also under the direction of Bobby Shew), "The Music of Chico O'Farrill" (under the direction of Arturo O'Farrill, with the Arturo O'Farrill Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra), and performed the "Cuban Fire Suite" (with the Stan Kenton Alumni Orchestra, led by Kim Richmond.)

Roger's recent masterclass/clinician performances include TrumpetParty2009 in Noordwijk, Netherlands, the University of Delaware, the North Shore Jazz Fest in Glenview, IL, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glascow, Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen, and the University of the Arts at Bremen University in Bremen Germany.

Roger's recent live performances include gigs with Harry Connick, Jr., Liza Minnelli, Paul Anka, as well as club dates, (a.k.a. casuals, jobbing dates) and commercial recording sessions.


The Roger Ingram Schedule is online with performance and venue details. Any recording sessions, club dates/casuals that Roger does while at home are not necessarily mentioned on the calendar. The purpose of the online schedule is to inform people around the globe when Roger will be in your area doing a live performance so you can take advantage of the opportunity to schedule a lesson or clinic.

Similar to the appointment he held at the University of Miami in the early 1990s, Roger is maintaining a position as "Artist in Residence" and "Teacher of Jazz Trumpet" at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University.
